Starting the Columbia Blockchain Lab in an effort to create a collegiate blockchain community in New York City. Centered around engineering, education, and career preparation, the blockchain lab aims to create the next generation of dApps while training tomorrow's blockchain developers.

Department: AI & Research Created an image segmentation service for Bing Images using convolutional neural networks. Used by several products including Skype.

Improved suggestion algorithm by using hidden Markov chains to distinguish actual "likes" from those done under social pressures in order to serve more personalized, accurate content to users. Our algorithm has also been used to distinguish different users using a shared account (ex: Amazon, Netflix).

• Used Python to develop much needed animation software that produces visuals of the bones of live, breast cancer induced mice. Producing animations of live mice wasn’t previously possible.• Currently used by Indiana University Simon Cancer Center labs to showcase effectiveness of certain cancer drugs on tumor growth. Replaced the previously used, time consuming, synthetically modeled animations.

During my summer internship, my role was to analyze mice that had been treated with different doses of a new cancer medication. My time contribution was 40hr/week for eight weeks.

During my five month internship, my role was to assist in the development of a patient navigator program geared towards helping cancer patients navigate the health care system.

As a member of the Mayor's Youth Council, my role was to assist in:Working with the Mayor to develop city policies focused on youth issues,Advising the Mayor of important youth issues in Indianapolis,Working to build partnerships with other youth organizations,Volunteering at community events throughout the city,Being active in local schools and reaching out to other young people they represent,and Developing media and outreach initiatives such as PSAs.
