• Responding Client’s enquiry.• Making job inspection to sites/vessels with technical team for getting the feel of the job prior to preparing quotes.• Preparing detailed scope of work, if the job is not clear.• Preparing tenders / quotation as per the scope• Studying drawings received from respective clients and preparing bill of material and nesting layouts for estimation • Allocating sub contractor’s job.• Preparing additional job scope and quotation during the work progress and dually get signed from the customer.• Coordinating with other department relative to cost estimation of the job• To assist finance dept. in updating the MIS.• Preparing BOM • Preparing bar chart • Progress monitoring of ongoing jobs.• Preparing work done certificate if required.• Preparing steel tonnage calculation sheet • Preparing final invoice according to the work done certificate.• Submission of final invoice along with work done report, drawings and supporting documents.• Attending negotiation meeting with clients for the final settlement of invoice.

 Identification of steel repairs as per the owner’s specification Preparation of Proposal Drawings, Marking/Location Sketches Preparing cutting plan for plate consumption with minimum wastage. Identification of materials from Ship drawings, preparation of bill of materials & procuring indigenous items. Supervising of Structural Steel in Work shop as per the fabrication sketches. Arranging the Materials, Equipments & Tools for fabricators & welders. Co-ordination with Design, Production & Project works.  Preparation of detail Fabrication Drawings, with marking / cutting production details. Dealing with class surveyors like ABS, BV, GL, NKK, DNV for final drawing approval.  Follow up the work progress & schedule the programmes as per vessels docking plans. Preparation of work completion records with updated as fitted materials  Preparation of Invoices and other Quality control documents.
