As Director, Enterprise Change Management (ECM), I am responsible for the implementation and growth of the change management and change leadership functional authority for the department of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. Our mandate in ECM is to improve organizational performance by supporting healthy and sustainable change. We deliver a mix of change leadership coaching, change management advisory services, and capability building services.

In this role, Abe was responsible for the following major tasks:- Define the vision and strategy of a Healthy Organisation at StatCan- Lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the measurement strategy of a Healthy Organisation at StatCan - Establish and maintain a framework for enterprise wide initiatives in the context of a Healthy Organisation.

As Vice Chair, Strategy for the National Capital Region group, I was responsible for providing advice to the Board of Directors about how best to achieve the regional strategic plan and measure the performance of the Board's activities in relation to its strategic objectives.

As Director at Large, I provided strategic advice to the IPAC-NCR Board of Directors and organized and attended events held for IPAC-NCR members.

As Senior Advisor, Blueprint 2020 National Secretariat, I supported the Blueprint 2020 engagement exercise, launched by the Clerk of the Privy Council in 2013.As Senior Advisor, I managed a team of volunteers, provide advice on communications and engagement strategies and supported the Chair of the Board of Management Sub-Committee on Public Service Engagement and Workplace Culture.The Blueprint 2020 exercise was launched in 2013 to engage public servants on a vision for a world-class Public Service. Thousands of public servants shared their views on what it takes to ensure public service excellence. This input has redefined how public servants work and has made engagement part of our shared culture. Managers and leaders are actively listening to input from all levels and employees’ ideas for improvement are having an impact through immediate actions, and are feeding plans for medium and longer-term initiatives.However, our work is not done. Building the Public Service of the future is a process that requires commitment, time, and continued focus from all Public Servants. All Public Servants are personally accountable for bringing about real change and realizing our ambitious goals.As Senior Advisor, my job was to support the continuing work of the Blueprint 2020 National Secretariat towards these goals.

As Co-Chair of the National Capital Region Young Professionals Network I helped facilitate the collaboration of over 40 different professional development networks in the National Capital Region. As Co-Chair, I created networking opportunities for the leaders of the professional development member networks. As a network of networks, the role of the NCRYPN was to foster innovation and innovative thinking among federal public servants.Along with my Co-Chair and our Executive Committee, I advocated on behalf of our members for the growth and development of our networks.

As an Industrial Analysis and Development Officer, my job was to manage repayable contribution agreements and forecast repayment capabilities of the companies in my portfolio. I managed a specific portfolio of companies that received multi-million dollar contributions from Industry Canada for projects that range from bio-technology to aerospace engineering. I was responsible for ensuring that the repayment of these contributions met the agreed upon requirements as laid out at the time the project was contracted. This involved repayment forecasting, technical analysis of the intellectual property under development and regular interaction with the company representatives in order to maintain a strong relationship between the industry sector and Industry Canada.

As a Policy Analyst my job was to provide policy advice on broadband connectivity in Canada and specifically on increased connectivity in rural and remote communities.

As Co-Chair of Career Boot Camp I was responsible for representing the Young Professional community in the National Capital Region in the organization of the conference. In partnership with a representative from the Canada School of Public Service, I led the interdepartmental working group in the design, planning and execution of the event.

Abe successfully launched and led Industry Canada's department-wide Young Professionals Network. He was the network's first Chair and managed the network through its foundational years. Since its launch, the InterConnex network has been recognized for playing an integral role in Industry Canada's selection as an employer of choice in Canada.

As a Project Specialist, my job was to develop and implement policies and procedures related to the Paper department. My main role was as Technical Writer, responsible for drafting, writing and publishing procedures. In part, I was also responsible for training development, general project development and operational support.

As a Teaching Assistant, my job was to meet with students to address their concerns regarding essays and exams. I was also responsible for grading students' essays and exams. My main function was to act as an intermediary between the professor and his students in an advisory role.
