I earned a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from East Tennessee State University. During my time at ETSU, I worked a full-time job in the automotive suspension industry. I started as a production technician then after few years I was promoted into maintenance. In the maintenance position, I had the opportunity to work with PLC and vision systems. After graduation, I found employment in the automotive glass industry. My responsibilities as a process engineer include working with production technicians to solve daily operation issues to come up with sustainable countermeasures and improvements. I have developed a thermal imaging system for testing heater grids on back windows during development and production and integrated the system into an existing production process for back windows. I integrated a soldering system into a glass assembly fixture. I have designed a testing method to incorporate into the glass assembly fixture to test glass functions. I have designed an automatic product dispenser to reduce technician tasks and reduce defects. I worked with technicians to identify equipment or system bottle necks and worked on improvements to reduce time and increase through-put. I have excellent people skills, work well in a group dynamic and I can lead a team and produce results. I’m continuously improving my leadership skills and lean continuous improvement skills. My goal is to read a few books per year to sharpen my skills.
