- Appointed by Yale-NUS’ Admissions Department to assess prospective students, and represent and advocate for the College, through evaluative admissions interviews (8 per week)- Provided detailed written reports on each candidate’s suitability for the College which were key resources in informing the Admissions Department’s overall evaluation process in selecting the incoming class of students- In preparation for this role, underwent thorough training on the College’s admissions criteria, strategies for managing the smooth flow of the conversation, and professional standards as ambassadors for the College.

- Selected to participate in Yale-NUS’ Summer Research Programme at the end of AY 19/20- Assisted Dr Eduardo Lage-Otero, the Deputy Director of Language Studies at the College, with his project entitled “Spanish Instruction in Southeast Asia”- Wrote detailed research papers on five specific ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand) with regard to their language policies, the availability of Spanish instruction within private and public education and avenues for exposure to Spanish and Hispanic culture outside of formal education- Collaborated with Dr Lage-Otero in designing an Indicators Table to score and rank the overall state of Spanish instruction in each country in ASEAN, as well as questionnaires for both institutions and individuals regarding the strength of language programmes offered in their respective countries

- Selected to be part of the OGL team for First-Year Orientation 2020- Underwent extensive training on topics such as intercultural engagement, alcohol safety and managing group dynamics - Performed important administrative duties such as managing the move-in of hundreds of students and dry-running station games - During Orientation itself, took care of a group of first-years, offering advice and support in their first few weeks adjusting to college and residential life- Planned and co-led four OG meetings to help the freshmen assimilate with each other and into the unfamiliar school environment

- Interned at the Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents (TMP) in the Family Development Group- Entrusted with a project coinciding with the coming review of the Maintenance of Parents Act- Meticulously went over maintenance applications for a period of 10 years to log and analyse trends in reasons for dismissal, particularly in cases of abuse, abandonment and neglect by parents- Compiled findings into a detailed report and presentation with recommendations on streamlining TMP processes and reducing the emotional toll on all parties involved in time for the MPA review

- Aided Assistant Professor Cheung Hoi-Shan with two of her research projects in developmental psychology- Involved in 1) literature review tasks using the Mendeley software, for a study on parental sensitivity and its long-term effects on children’s attachment and wellbeing, and 2) transcription of interviews with children, for a study on attachment styles and school bullying- Despite having no experience with Psychology at the time, picked up the required concepts and software quickly and discharged responsibilities punctually and with high standards

- Selected for MOE's JC Teaching Internship Programme- Assigned to teach Secondary 3 Express Literature and Secondary 1 Express Mathematics in Presbyterian High School - Designed lessons from scratch, refining and executing them under the guidance of supervisors- Outside of class, planned and conducted group review sessions and personal consultations with students - Went beyond scope of duty by volunteering to design a set of lesson plans for the new Secondary 1 Literature syllabus, even working on this task after the internship had concluded. These plans were eventually adopted and executed by the Literature department
