Managed and directed the daily plant operations for: Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Finance, Human Capital, Safety and Environment, Science and Technology and Information Technology for a business consisting of over 430 employees, operating in five shifts, seven days a week.Accomplishments• Plant EBITA: Year on Year improvement of > 1 M, every year.• Six Sigma philosophy implemented as a continuous improvement tool to reduce operation cost, $250K first year, $950K second year.• Established the Global New Products Development Center in our facility and the direct participation of the plant in new product design. Develop of suppliers in USA.• Created a new Safety and Environment culture and achieved three years 0 LTI record.• Created a CISC (Continuous Improvement Steering Committee) to implement World Class initiatives, assuring completed on time the budgeted initiatives.• Reduced 20 % headcount through lean manufacturing programs. • Reformulated primary process component due to supplier elimination of key chemical and eliminated dependence on sole supplier. • Reduced nitrile glove process cycle time by 40 % through latex reformulation. • Reduced utility consumption: water (50 %), gas (40 %) for a savings of $970K per year.• Reduced the scrap level from 6 % to below 2 % for a savings of $360K per year.• Reduced materials and tooling costs by 285K per year.Successfully transferred flagship products from USA & England.• Increased the production capacity by 40 %, approximately 800K pairs more per month.• Designed and automated the new compounding area, increasing the efficiency of this Area 50%, reducing waste by 30%. • Validated alternate latex suppliers to reduce freight costs by 15 %.
