Responsible for quality of Electronic / Electrical assembled products from launch to final legacy bank build, as defined by the YFAI BOS requirements (primarily PRP) and applicable customer requirements.  Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SMT manufacturing quality process.Facilitate/participate in the Engineering development of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documents for assigned Launch programs.Facilitate/participate in the Manufacturing development of Process Flows (PF) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) documents for assigned Launch programs.Facilitate and assure development of Pre-production and Process Control Plans for electrical assembly. These shall be based on customer requirements, Characteristic Matrix and FMEAs.Facilitate and assure development of appropriate Measurement System Analysis (MSA) plan for the Launch. Identify appropriate statistical tools and techniques required for assessing process capability and verify all measuring devices are included on the Control Plan and PDFSS Scorecard.Ensure preparation and on-time delivery of new product Launch Related Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages with regards to PCBs.Ensure initial capability studies are properly performed and documented for initial PCB builds and product changes affecting special characteristics, and that customer and internal requirements are met (or a written customer deviation is obtained).Ensure compliance to all applicable quality customer-specific systems and requirements.Develop and teach best practices with regards to LIFO and FIFO manufacturing (i.e.: paste storage, PCB testing, managing WIP.) Facilitate/participate in Engineering Design Reviews of specifications and drawings related to the system and develop the Characteristic Matrix.Support DV/PV builds and verify that parts meet dimensional and functional requirements.Ensure the appropriate inspection plans and containment plans are developed for Launch.

Responsibilities include: Technology & Development Support for New Products- Partner with T&D to ensure the application of design controls and product risk management.- Partner with T&D in the investigation/correction of design failures/challenges.- Ensure effective design control and design transfer.- Partner with T&D in the development and conduct of the physical challenges associated with product performance.- Assist T&D with new test method development and validation.- Proactively communicate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain product CTQs for process development/validation/control.Supplier Development for a Global Supply Base- Partner with Ranir Sourcing, Purchasing and Engineering and Suppliers to ensure the application of process validation, process control, and process risk management and in the investigation/ correction of process failures.- Implement and monitor process capability for continuous improvement.- Ensure effective change control.- Proactively communicate with DQE any changes in design or changes in process that could affect product design.- Develop systems to ensure quality of purchased raw materials and finished foods.- Ensure supplier performance is monitored and addressed as needed.Current Production Support-Partner with Operations Engineering in the application of process validation, process control, and process risk management.- Partner with Operations in the investigation/correction of process failures.- Implement and monitor process capability for continuous improvement.- Ensure effective change control.- Proactively communicate with DQE any changes in design or process that could affect product design.

Completing RnD new machined component PPAP packages (similar to AIAG format) for Neuro 2 components

Monitored non-conformances and took immediate action to resolve issue internally as well as with supplier to prevent reoccurrence. Recommended approval by circulating through Buyer, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, and Product Development Manager. Sep 2004 – Feb 2005. + Lead team to install Surface Mount Production Capability which Reduced SM PCBA costs by 50% & improved PCBA deliveries by 8-10 weeks over CM deliveries. Sep 2004 - Jul 2005 + Lead team in doubling SM Line Capacity which was upgraded to handle all SM production. The line was capable of processing single and double sided assemblies. Sep – Dec 2006 + Reviewed SM / TH PCB layouts. Drove manufacturability / reliability improvements by recommending design library decal changes – Reduced PCB costs by standardizing & optimizing in-house arrays to supplier PCB fabrication panels. + Created semi-automated spreadsheets to compare and highlight SM data differences between PD CAD Data Machine CAD Data and Production Data (i.e., P/N, values, descriptions, X & Y data, quantities, & Reference Designators). Responsible for Surface Mount (SM) production capability in a $6 million facility producing between 25K & 50K boards annually + Implemented SM Capability (initially with Quad equipment)Added QSV-1 Plus IQ for line operation. Added second line including Elite Semi-Automatic Stencil Printer; QSV-1 Plus IQ; conveyor; and QCR 950 Reflow Oven+ Technically managed and developed long term OEM supplier relationships. Including twelve years with a local injection molding supplier; 2) ten years with a Salt Lake City, UT Membrane switch supplier; and 5 years with a LA based Crystal manufacturer. + As part of a new SM PCBA startup team, evaluated four Midwest and a Far-East SM contract manufacturers before Fleetwood opted to procure SM Assembly Capability – Reply Products.
