Formerly known as RECTAS, AFRIGIST is a training center established under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) with the mandate of training, research, consultancy and advisory in the geospatial information sciences. It currently has eight member states (with a vocation to cover all countries of West and Central Africa) and is housed in the Obafemi Awolowo University Campus in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.

Responsible for production in IGB, management of technical equipment and planning activities and technical staff agenda.I managed several projects including: - The purchase of a new map production chain including aircraft for aerial photography;- The recruitment of technical staff;- Negotiations with partners on joint projects;- Preparation of technical specifications for updating 1:200,000 scale maps (Funded by the European Union) and the production of 1:50,000 scale map (funded by JICA)- Preparation of Terms of reference and tender evaluation for technical equipment purchasing;- Planning and reporting on whole direction activities. Meanwhile, I keep managing all geodetic works and support the IT section in the IGB website and Facebook page management. I have been the chairman of the tender evaluation panel for establishing CORS network (www.bfcors.net).I am also the Acting general director of IGB when the general director is absent and I represented repeatedly Burkina Faso to the Board of the UNECA Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Surveys (RECTAS).

At this position I initiated several studies: - Renewal of the whole chain of cartographic production IGB; - Adoption of an official coordinate system for Burkina Faso. - Densification of national geodetic network - Rehabilitation of the leveling network.

As an engineer in IT and quality checking section I was in charge of : - Quality checking of surveying (equipment and products); - All studies in geodesy; - Planning and managing geodetic and leveling networks; - Computing magnetic declinations and convergence of meridians - Involvement in enterprise application development - Involvement in the management of the Website.
