Aspiring data scientist with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for uncovering insights from complex data.As a recent physics graduate with a focus on statistical physics, I have an excellent foundation in the required skills for a career in data science. My coursework has given me a solid grounding in diverse fields such as probability/statistics, complex network dynamics, models of neural systems and nonlinear dynamics. During my time as a student research assistant, I gained hands-on experience with scientific modeling and statistical analysis. I simulated the collective decision making behavior of animal swarms of flocks, and analyzed the resulting data.At my jobs outside of the university, I further developed my data-analysis skills and learned how to apply them to business problems. A crucial factor in this was my ability to take a step back and approach problems at a higher level of abstraction. Instead of simply implementing the technical solution I was asked to, I proactively identified and proposed better ways to meet their business needs, ultimately leading to a better solution.I have a working knowledge of common machine learning libraries such as Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow / Keras and Pytorch, as well as a solid theoretical understanding of the algorithms behind it. Moreover, I have extensive experience with SQL, and common data analysis libraries such as Pandas.In addition, I have built my own Kubernetes cluster at home, and ran Kafka brokers, a VPN, media servers and other utilities on it.
