* Administer Functional Vision Assessments (FVA), Learning Media Assessments (LMA), Needs Assessments, and Technology Assessments * Help students access their personal and learning environments through mainstream and adaptive technology and devices * Develop, plan, and implement daily lesson plans and activities for students with blindness and visual impairments* Write and provide direct instructional services, as outlined on the Individual Education Plans (IEPs), which includes instruction in assistive technology tools, braille, and Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC)* Provide Visual Impairment (VI) services in-person, online, in the community, and at different school sites depending on students’ needs and contract guidelines* Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of a child, the child’s family, and the development of integrated goals and outcomes* Educate parents and others regarding the provision of services, students’ right, public policy, and state guidelines * Instruct students for the purpose of developing abilities in identified areas of need and in alignment with California Content Standards* Complete timely and accurate documentation of screenings, assessments, individualized plans, attendance, daily health checklist, feedings, daily activity logs for parents, home visits, inventories, and other documentation as may be deemed necessary for providing quality services* Prepare mathematical and scientific coursework in Nemeth braille and provide diagrams and charts in various tactile medium formats, using interactive auditory feedback, thermoform, and refreshable braille displays.
