Affordable Lending Operations Manager responsible for identifying community and neighborhood groups that have a focus on housing and who could assist the incumbent in meeting the goals of the position. Serve as the Skyline’s representative to these groups. Conduct an analysis of the marketplace to identify realtors, attorneys, and builders who may specialize in meeting the needs of low and moderate-income borrowers. Responsible for developing a operations plan that targets these referral sources and implements the plan to meet CRA objectives.

1. Appropriate staff maintenance, management and training. 2. Create and analyze management reports and utilize the information to maintain proper service levels within the Dept. 3. Attempt to resolve issues/problems that develop within the underwriting process. 4. Attend Corporate Operations Management Group meetings as needed 5. Maintain all policies related to Corporate Underwriting Department and its processes 6. Issue memos, as needed, to appropriate department and branch staff. 7. Maintain strong knowledge of FHA/VA/Conventional underwriting guidelines and requirements 8. Provide management review of all declined loans to assure decision by Underwriter is supported and final.

The main focus of my position is to conduct Mortgage Quality Control Review of up to 100% of all closed loans, as well as up to 100% of all applications not resulting in closed loans for select lender initiatives. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing enterprise wide regulatory compliance activities through individual contribution and/or leading subordinates to ensure the achievement of annual objectives.Responsible for providing comprehensive regulatory compliance including* Administration of the client's enterprise compliance program* Specific projects, such as:* Compliance Monitoring,* Compliance Testing,* Compliance Auditing,* Performing Compliance Risk Assessments

In addition, the role will be responsible for managing enterprise wide regulatory compliance activities through individual contribution and/or leading subordinates to ensure the achievement of annual objectives.Underwriter Functions- Review of all loan documentation submitted, included but not limited to analysis of loan application, credit, income asset, and liability documentation to calculate the risk assessment. Conduct careful risk analysis and exercise judgment based on experience to approve or deny loan files and ensure that loans meets the various loan program requirements in order to successfully resell the loan on the secondary market. Verify data entry in Encompass, and AUS findings are accurate. Assist internal customers in finding loan programs for various borrowers, documenting and presenting files. Underwriting of mortgage loans using guidelines based on investors specifics and FHA, Jumbo, USDA, FNMA and FHLMC specifics.Assist in continued training of junior underwriters and underwriting support staff. Clearance of all prior to doc conditions to ensure loan quality and smooth closing process. Assist in clearance of suspense items for individual end investor. Continuing training of internal customers to ensure external customer satisfaction. Contact external end investors for difficult scenario questions in order to determine the salability of mortgage loans.

Analysis of credit package for approval consideration. Train employees, test system tools and or systems. Maintain and keep up to date with credit policies changes and current Investor overlays. Increase initial file reviews while excelling at credit quality as it relates to investor standards. Sales training as it relates to providing needs base field underwriting and product placement.
