Brief background: A Journalism and Visual Media BA graduate, I was a medical practice manager for a number of years, working through my college years, before co-founding and directing the Irish Libyan Emergency Aid (ILEA), a medical aid NGO charity program. After a successful year delivering medical supplies to conflict areas in Libya, I then co-founded the Libyan Health Office of Ireland, a Libyan government funded medical treatment program for the war wounded. By late 2012, I was appointed as the diplomatic liaison (Assistant Medical Attaché - Libyan Embassy London) between the Libyan and Irish governments, contracting with Irish private hospitals for the Libyan Embassy to provide medical care to war veterans of the Libyan conflict. During this period, I would have worked closely with officials on both sides of my programs to provide a gold standard cross-national health care service during a tumultuous time in Libya. I also fulfilled my role as Quality and Assurance Manager for Powerway Trade Ltd in Europe. I have returned to working in media and committed to producing visual and photo works for commercial, corporate and private clients. I take great pride in my work and I’m very passionate about sharing people’s hard work and life stories with the world.
