Involved in big projects that extended over more than a year each to complete. Citing few: • High definition Voice project that required implementation of various wideband codecs and transcoding. wrote Python scripts that monitors low ACD, failures below certain thresholds, send alarm to NOC and SMS messages, sometimes automatically open trouble tickets. • H323 to SIP core migration project involving VoiP architectural change and deployment of new oracle hardware running SPL for call control, Genband and a lot more.• High density gateway projects, that involved Cisco MGX8880 high density gateway, redundancy at IP routing level, and at ATM level, PVC connection between VXSM cards and Router blades. Solution interacting with Cisco PGW, Gatekeepers, Radius servers, routing engines etc.• developed web interfaces using PHP and mysql DB for deployment engineers to collect configuration elements for softswitches, ITPs and gatekeepers and push the configuration to the devices to standardize the config avoid miss-configurations• Played a big roll in all aspects of above projects, from start to celebration, including design, functional requirement, test plan, RFPs, vendor equipment evaluation, lab building, manual and automation testing, billing, bug reporting internally and with the vendors, EFT and production deployment, Wiki documentation, training of provisioning & support groups – basically fully involved in all the aspects of the projects.

• Developed first voice IVR prepaid application ANI based authentication. • Merged multiple custom application per customer to a single one.• Discovered within the first six months of my transition a bug in one of the old applications that was not charging for Toll free calls, estimated loss of $400K.• Participated in redesigning prepaid architecture by deploying VXML on the VoIP gateways, and querying a back-end Oracle database using HTTP request to load application parameters associated with the incoming DID• Recorded inhouse IVR prompts in different languages and converted the wave files into PCMU and G729 codecs, saving money and time than previously taken by a third party company.

• On call support for all VOIP network, including routers, switches, TDM and IP2IP gateways, gatekeepers, routing engine servers. Maintained, configured, deployed all VoIp equipment, and troubleshooted network.• Automated VoIp gateways and gatekeepers configuration, reduced the work that takes one to two days of work to one hour.• Assisted in POPs installations configuration and testing. Support Windows NT and/or Unix server based systems running TACAS, RADIUS – billing CDRs.• Worked closely with protocols such as RIP, OSPF, BGP, UDP, TCP/IP, RTP, SMTP, and RMON. Wrote TCL, Expect, Perl and Python scripts to scan Cisco devices for various types of alarm reports not reported by monitoring systems, not covered by SNMP.
