Remote Presence (RP) powers voice and video calling across Family of Apps (FoA) and Reality Labs (RL). Within RP, on the client side of calling, I managed and grew a team of 8 C++ engineers (E3-E6). Our focus was on:- Reliability and performance of media streaming for FoA voice and video calling- Delivering new platform capabilities for emerging Metaverse/AR/VR scenarios for RL partnersMy most significant accomplishment was delivering Multi-Monitor support for Virtual Remote Desktop in time for the Meta Quest Pro public launch in October ‘22 (demo below). The ability to use with multiple virtual monitors with the Quest Pro was seen as key to the professional productivity story of the premium device.- I was point for all Remote Presence teams and deliverables, with Reality Labs owning product- Coordinated platform work and its integration across ~9 teams in both orgs- Navigated org reprioritization by successfully driving support for an evolved scope- Managed challenges stemming from battery/CPU/bandwidth-constrained environment- Delivered the key capability of up to three concurrent high-resolution and low-latency video streams

I supported several teams over my ~4 years in Collaborative Ads, starting on the ground floor building the Collab Ads product and driving it to global public launch, then scaling it through hyper-growth, then focused on the retailer side of the product, delivering Collaboration Center, the marketplace version Managed Partner Ads, a portfolio of collaboration-enhancing Services, and finally Digital Circulars, a signal resilient online/offline product.- Built and managed engineering teams of 8-12 full stack engineers (Hack, React, E3-E6)- Responsible for all things engineering, from hiring to SDLC to delivering roadmaps half after half- Reputation for exceeding half goals with a healthy team and strong collaboration- Drove the alignment and creation of the top level Collaboration Center as a product surface- Drove transition of Collaborative Ads from high-touch FB-led growth to self-serve, leading to several hundred % YoY organic growth in revenue for several years in a row
