Abha Kapoor graduated from the Sydenham College (University of Mumbai) with a Bachelors degree in Commerce. She subsequently obtained a Masters Degree in Management with a major in Marketing from the Mumbai University (NMIMS)Abha started her career in Banking with an International Bank and then moved on to head the Western Region for a financial services company. During the course of her international business travel whilst with this company, Abha started informally recommending and placing Banking and Finance professionals in various parts of the world. In 1995 Abha moved on to start her own independent search practice with a focus on the emerging sectors of Media, Entertainment and Communications. She subsequently, in partnership with Ms. Nita Joshi set up K&J Search, which today is a pioneer and leading search firm in these sectors. The firm has also made a successful foray into the FMCG & Telecom sectors.K&J has been in the business of executive search for two decades ,having been pioneers in the Media, Entertainment and Communication sectors. For this sector specifically, K&J has worked with the key satellite broadcasters, music labels, production houses, film studios, radio stations, digital/ mobile companies and multinational advertising agencies. The company has successfully serviced mandates with the print medium as also public relations, direct marketing and research agencies. K&J has also successfully completed assignments for the FMCG and Telecom sectors.K&J's competence lies in its ability to put together teams across functions at middle to senior levels for start up organizations in the Media, Entertainment and Convergence space as also the Advertising and Communications sector.
