A continuation of my PhD work, my research focuses on the engineering challenges of scaling up production of a special class of nanomaterials - 2D materials such as graphene, boron nitride, and chalcogenides - to commercially viable scales, and to commercialize these innovations and their applications across various sectors in cleantech, medtech, and electronics. 7+ years of Technical experience includes:- extensive experience in chemical vapour deposition and large-area transfer of graphene and 2D materials, and integration into various applications in membranes, coatings, and electronics.- Technical writing of scientific articles, grant applications, and patents.- supervision of multiple research projects by PhD, masters, and bachelor students.- Dissemination of work through conference talks.- design, construction, and operation of vacuum deposition systems such as vacuum furnaces and chemical vapour deposition systems, including pilot-scale systems.- high temperature processing of metals and their alloys in vacuum and inert atmospheres. - design and operation of pilot-scale roll-to-roll processing equipment.- electrochemistry and copper electroplating processes. - cleanroom/nanofabrication including photolithography, PVD, CVD, ALD, PECVD processes.- characterization tools such as scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy.

Thesis: Large-scale Fabrication of 2D Materials by Chemical Vapour DepositionDuring my PhD, I focused on understanding the fundamental processes of synthesizing nanomaterials such as graphene, and to use these insights to develop commercially viable production methods for these materials.
