Responsible for Product Engineering at Marqeta after the Volley acquisition.Established new processes around recruiting and retaining engineers, setting product and company strategy, and leveling up engineering and product teams.

I was primarily focused on Product, Design and Engineering for Volley, a travel startup focused on inspiring travelers. Ultimately landed the team at Marqeta through an acquisition.In the year and a half of operating Volley, we iterated on four full product ideas and launched, in the end, an inspiration-driven travel website and iOS app. Unfortunately we were unable to successfully raise a sufficient capital to continue running the business and we shut down in May 2019. We successfully landed the entire Volley team with offers at various Bay Area companies. During my time at Volley, I also did all the things most founders end up doing which is deal with every aspect of the business. I helped raise and close our Series Seed in 2017 and did a little work towards an attempted Seed Extension in 2019. I also managed relationships for our integrations with suppliers, built up a nascent data discipline, and performed the legal and compliance work around getting and maintaining our certifications and registrations required to sell travel in most of the United States. I also became an ARC certified travel agent to learn the ins and outs of the business.

At LSQ, I led all technology disciplines at a well established and growing SMB financier based in Orlando with offices in New York and San Francisco. LSQ provided small and medium sized businesses access to working capital in order to grow. I was responsible for Product Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Infrastructure and Information Security.

I started at Square as the ninth server engineer and worked on all aspects of our backend systems. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work across varied roles in my 5.5 years at Square.I've lead large infrastructure and product teams working on critical systems that help enable our sellers to grow their businesses. I've also been a staff engineer on teams like Risk /Machine Learning and Square Cash.
