Lead a team to develop the first anti-phishing and identity protection product - Norton Confidential. Norton Confidential v1 was released in October 2006. Now the product is part of the Norton Internet Security and Norton 360 suites.

Lead a team of engineers to build an infrastructure of authentication and authorization services that would be integrated in all VERITAS products. Authentication service used PKI based service to act as an identity broker. Used Enterprise namespaces - Windows Active Directory, LDAP, NIS+ as Registration Authorities. Authorization Service solved the problem of role or group based access control. Optimized management of access control lists to significantly reduce time taken to evaluate an authorization request.

Initially worked on a SAN management product called SANPoint Control (later Command Central Storage). Designed and developed various modules in the product that will discover and manage SAN switches, arrays. Worked with several hardware vendors - specifically Compaq arrays and Emulex and QLogic HBA's. Later worked on defining, designing and developing a cross-product security component that provided authentication and authorization services to all VERITAS products - starting with Netbackup and VERITAS Cluster Server.

Lead developer on the VERITAS Security Subsystem. Helped design, develop, port and integrate the security component. Worked on a shoe string budget and delivered high quality components on time. Later worked through all integration and support issues to take the component through its lifecycle.

Worked on Kasenna's Mediabase product. Specifically worked on MPEG streaming player on Windows which was developed in C++ using DirectShow API. Also worked on several backend components including prefix caching on CDN, integration with various encoders and parsing multiple language streams.

Worked on several business apps for clients. Applications were developed in C++, Java on Windows and Linux. Deployed applications successfully at large Fortune 500 companies. Developed various backend components in SOAP based Webservices.

Designed and developed NFS v3 server on Windows NT. Worked on improving performance by profiling various common file system operations. Developed read-ahead and write buffering schemes. Later, worked on the PKI and IPSec products for ELock Technologies. PKI products used PKCS protocols for certificate acquisition, management. Also worked on integrating IPSec driver on Windows 9x.
