As a part of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), my prime responsiblity includes to ensure smooth work of enforcement activity in Bihar. As a part of team we decide cases of enforcement based on extensive data analytics and field level inputs. Some of the works done are - Identification of cases using 100% ITC for payment of liability which acted as deterrent - Focus on service sector as Banquet halls, Coaching institutes, Security Agencies etc which was doing lot of tax evasion - Number of unique cases of bill trading and fake ITC was identified and necessary actions were carried on. - Focus on new sectors as Second Hand Car dealers, Security Agencies, Architect Firms etc has been a major initiative taken. The work in sectors as banquet halls , coaching institutes have been appreciated at the highest level.Bihar GST collection increased by 26% in 2022-23 . One of the drivers of this push has been credited to effective enforcement.

In this posting I was assigned a role with a higher responsibility. In addition to the regular works as tax official as scrutiny , adjudication etc I was also assigned the duty to be a representative of departmnet in cross department work in district. Also i got chance to participate in enforcement activities as static enforcement along with mobile enforcement. In one of the file I along with my circle incharge found that there were soem discrepancies. In this file 365 crore in cash were deposited which was appreciated from the highest level.I was awarded excellent (10/10) in the performance appraisal report for the whole period.

This was my first posting at field level. As a Assistant Commissioner in circle my primary responsibility was to achieve the target of the circle. As this was the initial phase of GST , education and pursuasion was also our responsiblity as a tax official. Some of the major works which was done - Ensured that the shift of all the GST related works on the GST BO was smooth - Did scrutiny and adjudication of various taxpayers selcted on varied paramters- Ensured the successfull implementation of One time Settlement Scheme of cases of legacy acts. - Took leadership in effective work during Covid times. During this period coordinated with the various taxpayers so as to ensure compliance of the act. In performance appraisal I was marked as excellent by my incharges.

As a part of Assistant Commissioner ( Trainee ), I was posted in HQ of Commercial Tax department of Bihar. I undertook training in various sections in HQ to understand the working scenario. In addition I also did my training at the field level. During the training I was also part of training in Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development. As a part of PMRDF my primary responsibility was to work as a development consultant to the District Magistrate of Sitamarhi district. During this experience I learned :- a) Working as a consultant at the grass root level b) Leading a group of volunteers along with professional and officials c) Working with the society for the betterment of society d) Developing models / tools which can work in such a small district e) Identifying innovations which fit into the technichal/societal/phsychological framework of rural societySome of the major projects I was a part of following major projects -I was assigned the role of nodal officer of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. In the ranking of the district in terms of procedure Sitamarhi topped in whole country. - I was made a part of leadership group behind "Swachh Sitamarhi Mission". The primary aim was to remove the societal and health issue of open defecation. Sitamarhi became the first district of bihar to become open defecation free district. -For Water conservation , I was a part of a team who led Soakpit revolution in Sitamarhi. Around 2100 soakpits were constructed in all the schools of Bihar. This was not only appreciated in political and bureaucratic circle but was also accepted by general public. The project got accepted by Limca book of records 2017 and my role was also appreciated. -I was involved in a unique project Sanitation Park in Sitamarhi. In this various sanitation models were stationed in one park so as to educate general public. - I also contributed to some extent to better the health scenario in Sitamarhi. In this I was assigned a part of team to monitor the Primary Health Centres of Sitamarhi. Many of our suggestions were implemented by the district team leading to better results. - I was also part of monitoring group behind number of rural development prgrammes as MgNrega, Indira Awas Yojana etc.I also recieved letter of appreciation from Rajiv Raushan IAS, DIstrict magistrate
