I am a full-time auditor and a part time photographer who loves travelling to keep my passions alive. I have a total professional experience of 10 years in audit and currently working as an experienced manager with BDO LLP, London office since August 2022 specialising in Technology and Media sector. I am extensively trained in leading teams in delivering statutory audit of various listed, public and private companies, PE funded groups, under UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 101), Indian GAAP and IFRS. I manage a team of 6-8 people and my role as a manager includes: a. Preparing the audit plan and driving the audit from start to end. b. Project management by tracking key metrics of the engagement.c. Co-ordinating with multiple stake holders on the project by updating the project status – audit team, partners, clients, cross functional teams (Tax, Valuation, IT risk etc.,).d. Preparing and presenting Audit Committee report to those charged with governance. Above and beyond my day job as an experienced manager dealing with audits, I support firms’ growth by involving in various initiatives:Apart from dealing with numbers in my role as an auditor, I am passionate about firms’ growth and strategy. I am a key team member of “Sales and Marketing” team of BDO London Tech and Media practice. My role involves supporting partner group in identifying potential opportunities for the firm to pursue, preparing detailed research notes and proposals.I am a core member of BDO audit “National ED&I (Equality, Diversity and Inclusiveness) team. Working away from home country, I feel it is important to highlight the aspects of equality, diversity, and inclusion at workplace. In my role, I support the firms’ initiatives in rolling out periodic communications, support teams in developing content to share with wider audit group. I started my career with EY India practice as a trainee in 2013 and worked there for 9 years. During my stint with EY India, I was involved in audits of listed, public and private companies and group audits focusing on Technology and Infrastructure sectors. I had additional roles of co-ordinator for trainees with Partner group to manage their CA classes and work. I was also key team member of multiple audit pursuit wins supporting firms’ strategic growth. Being an auditor, I love documentation, I have an Instagram page to document my travel and photography stories.
