Managing reserves, new well economics, A&D, and Asset valuation

Reserves estimation and decline curve analysis of all oil and gas assets across the company including Marcellus, Utica shale and waterflood assets. Proposing and defending type curves using available data on existing production for various assets with auditors. Interfacing with other departments like geology, finance, marketing and revenue for Aries inputs. Other responsibilities include adherence of controls for SOX, assist with SEC comment letters, AFE signoffs and meeting with JV partners. Providing estimates and setting expectations for expected business case type curves by using MVA regression, engineering principles and other statistical tools. Assisting with management presentations and proposing new ideas for future prospects for growth of the company. Portfolio analysis and ranking projects across the company. Analysis of potential M&A properties on a tight timeline.

Reserves estimation for primary, secondary and tertiary floods for conventional assets and, shale properties including Marcellus, Utica and other Devonian reservoirs. PDP analysis using engineering principles and type curve generation for PUDs using multivariate regression on various reservoir/geology/operational data. PUD mapping and count using SEC guidelines while maintaining management expectations for PUD/PD ratios. Interfacing with auditors to discuss declines and type curves for shale reservoirs. Summarizing LOE review for reserves input after review and identifying add-backs. Assisting with management presentations and proposing (& presenting) new ideas for future prospects for growth of the company. Portfolio analysis and ranking projects across the company. Analysis of potential M&A properties on a tight timeline.

Perform simulation study of an ongoing water flood and tracer for a pilot.Simulate and predict polymer injectivity and ASP slug performance for the pilot. Match the actual field data with simulation study and predict future performance.Perform sensitivity study on slug size, concentration etc. to enable economic analysis.Perform logging, field observation well swabs, interact with geologists and other team members on a daily basis. Streamline field operations based on day to day learning experiences.

Worked on simulating various chemical EOR processes (including polymer, alkali and surfactant) as a part of the research assistant-ship. Developed a methodology to improve injectivity prediction during a polymer flood by using the effective well radius (rweff). Simulated the effect of wettability alteration on oil recovery by using a numerical simulator.

Contributed to Detailed Engineering Project of process units for client owned refinery.Worked on softwares like HTRI & HYSYS and was part of pre-commissioning, commissioning team during on-site training.
