About Abhinav Agarwal

I recently started a PhD in EECS at MIT. I am interested in robotics, especially ideas at the intersection of control theory and machine learning. I’m currently investigating graph based motion planning methods with potential applications for dexterous and mobile manipulation. I’m also interested in online control via perception and other forms of sensing. Prior to this, I graduated from Princeton with a concentration in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and certificates in Engineering Physics, Robotics, Applied Math, and Computer Science.My overall goal is to understand optimization (including in learning based approaches) and control theory well, so I can build generalizable AI solutions in a broad spectrum of robotics and related applications (manipulation, machines in air and space, autonomous driving, etc.)
