CurrentSupplier Quality:Proactive supplier visits that are in addition to supplier audits, supplier visits due to quality issues or escalation, and technical meetings, such as QBRs.Active involvement with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of a problem and similar potential problems.Provide guidance and lead suppliers in problem solving and root cause in order to ensure supplier quality issues are resolved in timely manner, with minimum impact to the production.Draft & Issue Supplier Non-conformance Reports (SNCRs) and Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs).Ensure that internal groups performed due diligence and investigation in order to provide objective evidence that the issue was related to supplier workmanship.Prioritize SNCRs based on urgency and importance, setting priorities in the following order of containment actions, root cause investigation, corrective action plans, preventive action plans and verification actions.Ensure that SNCRs are updated with applicable objective evidence.Follow-up with a supplier to obtain timely response and evaluate reports for true root cause and adequate action plans. When answers are not satisfactory, work with suppliers in justification of additional analysis and corrective actions.Provide update to SNCRs and SCARs based on the meetings and conference calls with suppliers. Where email information from the supplier is relevant, update SNCRs and SCARs with this information.Provide technical support in arranging cross-section lab analysis for PCBs and PCAs as a part of supplier evaluation and re-evaluation process.Provide recommendation for future steps in evaluation of the supplier, based on cross-section lab analysis results.First Article Inspection:Determine the FAI scope for strategic material, and create electronic or hard copy FAI travelers.Perform FAI of relevant material based on the industry standards and procurement specification.Train/ retrain employees on FAI process as relevant to their role.
