Survey of galaxies in HI emission with the MeerKAT Absorption Line Survey (MALS) collaboration. This involved analyzing the vast amount of MALS data from the MeerKAT interferometry telescope. This provided a sample of serendipitously detected galaxies at redshift below 0.1, which are used to investigate the HI scaling relations and study underlying statistical properties. The goal is to understand the properties of diffuse gas in and around the galaxies through cosmic history.

Proficiently handled extensive imaging and spectroscopic observational data, employing rigorous statistical analysis to extract and validate scientific results. Published multiple lead and co-authored papers in prestigious astronomical journals. Also contributed to several projects in our research group. Actively engaged in sharing intriguing findings and contributing to vibrant discussions at various national and international conferences. Additionally, received grants supporting participation in conferences and meetings across the USA, France, and Australia.

During this period, I honed the art of crafting scientific proposals tailored for observations from ground-based and space-based telescopes. Moreover, I delved into fundamental astronomical data reduction and analysis techniques, encompassing both imaging and spectroscopic data. I also cultivated expertise in efficiently retrieving and managing extensive spectroscopic and imaging data from archives. This involved utilizing custom-made Python scripts, shell scripts and employing SQL queries, enhancing my ability to navigate and extract precise information crucial for my research.
