Developed a prototype for detection of Nucleic Acid of SARS CoV2. The prototype is a self-contained, multiparametric, and self-sealing microfluidic device using saliva as the analyte. During this work developed the nucleic acid amplification and lysis chemistry, optimized the amplification matrix, and designed the self-sealing method for the microfluidic device. Generated BSL2 safe pseudoviruses containing SARS CoV2 genes or surface proteins.
