👉 I am a strategy, governance and risk management professional with a passion for helping and developing people, teams and organisations to realize business and societal goals. I build strong networks and stakeholder relationships, and engage in mutually beneficial strategic partnerships.✅️ I lead the Edinburgh Napier University Business School's DBA and MBA programmes, and support the development of functional managers and business leaders. I ensure continued relevance of the curriculum - bringing together both academic theory and the meaningful exposure to real-world business practices to meet the needs of our students and employers in a rapidly changing business environment. ✅️ Over the past decade, I have committed myself to effective governance. In my previous role as the Board Chairman, I have been instrumental in providing the Grampian Housing Group with strong leadership and vision. Since being elected Chair, I worked tirelessly with very experienced and committed Non-Executive Directors and Leadership Team as well as other key stakeholders to substantially improve governance practices through a range of new initiatives, policies and processes. I currently serve as a Non-Executive Board Member of NHS Healthcare Improvement Scotland and have been recently appointed as the Regional Chair of the Board of Management of Forth Valley College. I was also a Non-Executive Director of Kirkgate Developments Limited.✨️ I have made significant contributions to housing, health and education which I believe are interconnected and collectively contribute to the overall development and sustainability of our communities.
