Managing procurement and contracts of Leisure & Entertainment sector for Shamal group which includes Xdubai, Skydive, Deep Dive, Kite beach, Dubai Film, Dubai Harbour etc.

• Deputy in-charge of the team.• Managing direct spending of 6 categories (60MM), and indirect spending of 10 categories (10MM)• Accountable for managing key categories which mainly included packaging materials(cartons, sheets, pallets, honeycomb, and wooden crates), inks, labels, BOPP, printing collateral, PVC sheets, board, spare parts, etc.• Managing 15 tenders annually including RFQ preparation, bid invitation, evaluation, contract negotiation, and finalization resulting in 10-15% cost reduction.• Training and developing new teammates through the process and functions of procurement in the company. Guiding them through their developing phase.• Managing supplier audits in consultation with QC, and preparing audit reports and presentations to management.• Making sure the production is run 24X7 by ensuring all raw materials are sourced at the right time, at the right price, at the right place, at the right quantity, and the right quality. ( Business continuity is maintained) • Conducting annual supplier performance analysis and providing feedback to the suppliers and management.• Conduct spend analysis on a bi-weekly basis and report to the management through which the team can prioritize taking cost-saving measures for certain commodities with high spending.• Preparing and presenting the procurement objectives meeting on a bi-weekly basis to the management where key achievements and challenges of the department are presented and discussed• Preparing ad-hoc reports and analyses on cost savings, forecasting and planning orders, and expediting deliveries.

• Performing procuring duties for all departments, including production and administrative departments.• Preparing purchase orders for all departments and recording information in a computerized database.• Negotiating and getting the best possible market rates.• Managing vendor non-conformance - ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and closure of vendor non-conformance.• Represent the team in weekly inventory and planning meetings where key decisions are made on raw materials requirements.• Managing the raw-material stock to ensure that there is no undersupply or oversupply.• Maintained product availability throughout the year by effective planning to eliminate stock-out situations. KPI was maintained for each product category.• Coordinating with both intra and inter-department team members to ensure that there are no gaps or shortfalls in the supply chain.

• Coordinating with multiple stakeholders based at different sites while organizing and facilitating events.• Assisting senior buyers in negotiation with suppliers and internal stakeholders.• Supporting and coordinating with senior buyers in their procurement process.• Developing knowledge, continuously monitoring the industry and marketplace, and identifying future opportunities.
