As a Test Engineer i am responsible for testing of web based e-commerce application. My responsibility is to ensure that the system meets its business needs. In order to ensure the same I have worked both on automation and manual testing of AUT. As a tester i am responsible for understanding of functional and business requirements followed by creation of test scenarios and test cases. In order to ensure that the system is working as expected we now have to test the created test cases in different environments. If there is deviation from what is expected of the application we are required to log then as defects and track them throughout the their life cycle until their closure.As a automation tester we are required to identify the automate-able and non automate-able test cases along with the framework that has to be used for automation. After creation of test scripts we have to run the scripts in order to ensure that the system meets its requirements. After each and every release we are also required to create and update existing test cases and scripts.
