1. Video traffic constitutes 70-80% of all traffic on the internet. I am working on finding the right trade off between video traffic load and the end-user QoE. Working on technical domains of application layer bandwidth estimation, adaptive bit rate video streaming, pre-fetching/buffering strategies, congestion control.2. Working on improving end user quality of experience of Meta's multi-media products like video on demand, live video, voice and video calling, cloud gaming, cloud VR over telecommunications networks (both mobile and fixed access)3. Actively working in Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to standardize a secure interface between content platforms and communication service providers to enable cross layer optimizations. Co-invented a novel wide area mobile network coverage solution called SuperCell. Demonstrated the full end-to-end solution on the field with a team of highly qualified engineers. Generated technical and economic playbooks to help industry scale the solution to provide coverage to 600 Million rural uncovered population around the world.2. Invented the core system architecture based on novel (patented) post amplification carrier aggregation technique. Helped build a team of RF engineers, control engineers, mechanical engineers, embedded software engineers. led a team to build and demonstrate the world's first communication link in mm-wave with 40 Gbps capacity both in uplink and downlink between a ground station and a fast moving aerial platform3. Co-invented and led the team that demonstrated the world's first modem agnostic analog line of sight MIMO system with 11Gbps demonstrated throughput over a range of 13 km

As Principal Investigator on the DARPA 100Gbps RF backbone program led the technical team that demonstrated "world's first" continuously operational line of sight 4x4 mm-wave MIMO link with 4Gbps throughput over a range of 20 km with a field demonstrated spectral efficiency of 20bps/HzInvented a non-linear beamforming technique using sparsely populated antenna arrays.Developed a new 4x4 MIMO radio system for long range air to air communications. Flight demonstrated link performance between 1-2Mbps at air-to-air range up to 100 nautical miles with 1.2MHz channel width in the 2.4 GHz band. The radio systems Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) = 1 Watt.Developed initial calibration algorithms for transmit beamforming feature for Silvus MIMO radio product.

1. Conceptualized innovative mobility aware routing and topology control protocols for the US Air Force airborne network (an IP network between airplanes). Developed network simulations in ns3/Qualnet.2. Developed a mission planning toolbox for the USAF airborne network3. Invented the core algorithms for range estimation using a sequence of images captured by unmanned aerial systems without the need to make any deliberate maneuvers. The Sense and Avoid system built using this core invention went on to become a US Air Force SBIR/STTR success story4. Developed health monitoring sensor suite and sensor fusion system for first responders5. Hired several outstanding research scientists and engineers.
