Material science researcher specializing in polymers, nanocomposites, advanced water purification techniques, characterization techniques, batteries and green chemistry.Currently, I am a Senior Research Scientist at American Nano, LLC at Winston Salem, United States. My work deals in proposal and execution of R&D projects focused on novel materials for emerging applications with a strong emphasis on new material design and characterization to understand structure-property-function relationship. I have completed my PhD at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, United States majoring in Nanoscale Science where I focused on study of structure-function relationships of materials and their applications with a goal of engineering new materials with superior properties. My research focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of novel nanostructured materials for applications in water purification. During my doctoral dissertation, I gained proficiency in polymer chemistry fundamentals, nanomaterials analytical and characterization methods with experience in green chemistry and sustainability approaches, thereby decreasing waste, increasing atom economy and efficiency of reaction design.
