Teach First was founded to engage the UK's brightest talent in solving a serious and lasting problem - educational inequality. I am currently a University Recruiter at Teach First, recruiting primarily from the University of Manchester. My main role duties include but are not limited too:Forming and managing Stakeholder relationships.Candidate relationship management as they prepare to begin the Training Programme. Sourcing and recruiting a number of Students for the Training Programme. Organise and manage a number of high profile events on campus. Increasing brand awareness both on and off campus. Data analysis Line management and training of Campus Reps, who help promote the work of Teach First on campus and deliver high quality leads.

The Challenge is the UK’s leading charity for building a more integrated society; a society in which there is understanding and appreciation of each other’s differences. We design and deliver programmes that bring different people together to develop their confidence and skills in understanding and connecting with others. In 2009, approximately 160 young people participated in our programmes; in 2015 we reached circa 34,000 participants. As a major provider of the government-backed National Citizen Service (NCS) programme, we bring together 16-17 year olds and challenge them to connect with people from different backgrounds, learn key skills for the workplace and make a real difference to their community through social action projects. We are currently recruiting around 4,500 paid seasonal staff for our NCS programmes running in summer and autumn 2017. A variety of contracts are available (from 3 days - 3 months) in roles such as Programme Leader, Assistant Programme Leader, Senior Mentor, Community Facilitator, Senior Community Facilitator, Support Worker, Skills Practitioner (Drama, Art, Enterprise, Media, Photography and Music), Practitioner Plus and Accomodation Coordinator.Roles on the NCS programme offer excellent experience of working with young people, flexible contracts (from 3 days to 3 months) and are all competitively paid. We are looking for applications from people who will be 18+ by the summer, are passionate, enthusiastic and have the ability to motivate young people. It's a great networking opportunity within the youth sector and fantastic experience for people thinking about a career in the third sector/education/community work. - Oversee Daily operations for the Youth Activities Department- Lead a team of up to 80 Crew Members – 6 of which are also leaders of the department and direct reports of mine.- Adhere to all Youth Activities Department budgets. - Assist with the initial and on-going training for Youth Activities Crew. - Produce Daily Navigators – schedule of events for the Children throughout each day. - Write and deliver reviews for each Crew Member and Leader.

Oversee the training and development of all Youth Activities crew throughout their time with the cruise line. Ensuring they are welcomed on board on their first day, receive sufficient training during their first two weeks and then guarantee that all crew are appropriately trained on any updates to policies and procedures as they occur.
