I worked with the BBC for over two years, starting in London and then up to MediaCity in Manchester in 2012. In doing so, I have gained experience in journalism as an assistant producer writing and producing video packages, responding to direct enquiries from the media while working with reporters, agents and journalists. The highlight of 2012 was certainly working on the Olympics as it provided the opportunity to work across a variety of live events.My decision to enter into the media industry was originally driven by my lifetime passion for sport, which I maintain today. I am a seasoned international hockey player and have played at all levels around the world. Representing my country, whilst studying and working, has required commitment, focus and determination, whilst honing qualities such as time-management and teamwork skills. I already have a great foundation in the media industry. I am quick to learn, I think fast on my feet and I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. On top of this, my hunger and desire to progress has proven to fuel my work ethic in this industry, inspiring me to deliver above and beyond what is expected.
