Managing a team of employment consultants and job coaches to deliver supported employment services for people with disabilities and health conditions on behalf of Pluss for Jobcentre Plus clients on Workchoice programme in Bristol/Bath/S.Glos and North Somerset. I completed my Level 5 diploma in management whilst working in the role and was responsible for directly line managing 5 staff as well as supporting the management of the whole team of up to 18 staff members. This role included performance management and quality compliance, working to targets set by DWP around job entry, job retention and employment outcomes for people furthest away from the labour market. There was also a strong emphasis on employer liaison and negotiating with training providers, job centre plus managers and the prime contract holders to ensure a high quality of provision was available for customers. Key skills demonstrated in the role: coaching, training, negotiation, line management, account management, health and safety compliance, communication and performance management.
Workstep Manager (West Of England)
I was tuped across to Pluss from RBLI and promoted, where I then managed a team of administrators, employment consultants and job coaches to deliver the Workstep programme in the West of England for Pluss on a sub contract from RBLI for Jobcentre Plus clients. Responsibilities included line management, managing a budget, managing the Bristol office including health and safety, risk assessments and completing monthly reports.Workstep was a programme aimed to support people with disabilities and health conditions into work of over 16 hours per week and sustain employment for at least 12 months. There was also a retention service which helped people at risk of loosing their jobs to stay in work through training and negotiating with their current employers.*Key achievement: highest performing team for job entries and job sustainability from 2008-2009

I covered the West of England area working on behalf of RBLI to support a caseload of customers referred by Jobcentre Plus into work as well as supporting people already in work who were at risk of loosing their jobs-working together with HR managers, line managers and Occupational Therapists and trade union reps.The customers were supported on the Workstep programme and had disabilities and health conditions which had a significant effect on their daily lives and specifically in the workplace.My role was targeted around both job entry and also sustaining employment.
