As a QC Technician at Sensient Technologies, I carry out Quality Control testing to ensure that various products including flavours and fragrances are within specification. Currently I am working with the Quality Manager and the Technical and Compliance Expert in Quality to expand and develop the training programme for new starters within the QC Department. I am leading the change by updating SOPs and other training documentation, as well as developing a more thorough tracking system with the aim to draw up a set training timeline for new employees in the department. I liaise with colleagues in the warehouse, production facility and customer service department to deliver a timely, thorough and high standard of work. Regularly under pressure to release urgent products, I have excellent time management and communication skills as well as an eye for detail. When faced with problematic or challenging situations, I am quick to react and inform the appropriate parties, providing as much information as possible and an revised estimated time of product release.
