My role plays a key role in delivering the £28M capital fundraising programme called the Inspiring Everyone: RAF Museum Midlands Development Programme, identifying and developing capital funding opportunities as well as building relationships across High Net Worth and Corporate. I also work closely with the Development Manager - T&F and Individual Giving to ensure opportunities are maximised and our fundraising target is met.

Cosford And London

My role was responsible for creating an Individual Giving programme for both the RAF Museum Midlands and London. This included all aspects of onsite visitor giving, regular giving and challenge events, along with developing and managing cash appeals, campaigns, donor recruitment, conversion and retention. New initiatives included launching Adopt an Artefact (shortlisted as Fundraiser of the Year in the Museum+Heritage Awards 2021), Challenge Event fundraising and launching a regular giving scheme. My role was recruited just before the start of the pandemic which required me to pivot to digital fundraising and implement bespoke digital donation methods, along with new products for donor acquisition and engagement.

My role was to develop, manage and deliver a programme of over 25 public events. During my time in the role I introduced a new programme that attracted over 35,000 people per year and also generated significant income for the Museum. Events included the Cosford Food Festival, Vintage and Handmade Festival, Spitfire 10K, Outdoor Cinema and Pillow and Pilots Sleepovers.

Shrewsbury, England

Working as part of a team of three, my role was split between fundraising administration, volunteer management and overseeing the fundraising events and activities through out the year. Fundraising events included the Ludlow Food Festival, Ludlow Spring Festival and the Shrewsbury Food Festival. I also managed and organised the first ever Shrewsbury Secret Supper, part of the Shrewsbury Food Festival.

My role within the Events Department was extremely varied, delivering the corporate event programme (sales and delivery), commercial filming and the contract with the in house caterers. As part of my role I also was involved in supporting the public events programme at all three London branches.

Community Learning Assistant: Assistant to the Community and Outreach officer with delivering projects for the Churchill War Rooms such as the Dig for Victory Community Allotment in St James Park.Exhibitions Assistant: Assistant to the Exhibition Manager, researching copyright information for marketing and historical images and loans, independently creating a detailed and accurate spreadsheet.

Role taken on whilst studying full time for my Distance Learning Post-grad Diploma in Museum Studies through the University of Leicester.

This role was taken on along side my role as Acting Visitor Services Supervisor. I was tasked with organising this pilot event with the main objective to attract a new, younger audience to the museum. The event was a huge success, selling to capacity, with 500 adults visiting the museum for a Vintage Boudoir themed evening with 1940s hair and makeup artists transforming guests, period music and tours of the site.

Duty Manger of the Gallery during the evening opening of the Portrait Restaurant, includingstaff management, cash handling and end of shift reporting.

I provided community engagement telephone surveys and research for a number of Members of Parliament.

Telegraph Hill Park, New Cross, London

Community Events Coordinator - managing an inclusive Young Friends of the Park scheme for 5-16 year olds reflecting the diversity of the local community and fostering a sense of pride and ownership of this public space. The events and workshops I ran included an Art in the Park weekend, a sports day including tennis coaching and football and basketball training led by Millwall Community Scheme and a Nature Day run in conjunction with the park management Glendale.
