Job Description• Membership Recruitment:Actively recruit new members to join the federation. Develop strategies and campaigns to attract small and medium-sized enterprises to become members.• Membership Engagement:Maintain relationships with existing members to ensure their satisfaction and retention.Organize events, seminars, and networking opportunities to engage members and encourage participation.• Membership Services:Coordinate the delivery of membership services and benefits to enhance the value proposition for members.Address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.• Database Management:Maintain an accurate database of current and potential members. Ensure that membership records are up-to-date and organized.• Communication:Develop and implement communication strategies to keep members informed about federation activities, events, and opportunities.Create newsletters, emails, and other materials to communicate with members effectively.• Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments within the federation to align membership activities with overall organizational goals.Work closely with marketing and communications teams to promote membership benefits and events.• Reporting:Prepare regular reports on membership statistics, trends, and engagement levels for internal use.Provide insights and recommendations based on membership data to drive strategic decision-making.• Advocacy:Represent the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises in advocacy efforts and policy initiatives.Engage members in advocacy campaigns to support the growth and development of SMEs in Uganda.Overall, as a Membership Officer at the Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Uganda, your role would be crucial in growing and engaging the membership base, providing valuable services and support to members, and advocating for the interests of SMEs in the country.

Support the local small scale WASH entrepreneurs to plan, build and sustain their WASH businesses.Linking local WASH entrepreneurs to business and learning opportunities.Offer capacity building support and business advisory support to the WASH entrepreneurs.

• Support the local WASH entrepreneurs to plan, build and sustain their WASH businesses.• Conduct project follow-up and provide support and guidance to community groups and individual entrepreneurs and households to ensure that the project archives its desired target and improve sustainable WASH businesses. • Coordinate, monitor and implement the project deliverables at ground levels against desired target indicator.• Work together with other partners to organize, mobilize and facilitate community awareness meetings to archive the project designs goals• Promote and actively participate and lead sanitation marketing • Coordinate and co-facilitate training activities including but not limited to financial literacy and behavior and mindset change, water, sanitation and hygiene, village savings and loans associations, capacity building and WASH business development advisory support.• Coordinate with the local government leadership structure to support the women in WASH through a special mentorship platform called WEWASH Forum.Reporting, Administration and M&E• Develop and manage workplans;• Complete field reporting on a weekly basis and provide support with information sharing for donor reporting and;• Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings as well as cluster team meetings to highlight issues and success and outline next steps;• Complete weekly financial request, submissions and accountabilities to the organization’s accounts department and Programme Manager;• Take photographs and share for data repository.• Provide suggestions to management on potential activities that need to be redone, reviewed or introduced to ensure the organization is on track according to the project design and improving sustainable WASH service provision in Agago• Providing feedback and recommendations to the Project Monitoring and evaluation officer and Programme Manager the status of the organization’s performance against its success indicator in the consortium;
