As part of a regional study looking at the subsurface geology of the Southern North Sea I loaded well data into RokDoc and interpreted it. The process of data loading involves selecting relevant data from that publicly available such as resistivity, density, sonic and gamma ray wireline logs, records of kicks, losses, leak off tests, connection and trip gas and pressure data. Interpretation offers the opportunity to identify fluid type and contacts by looking at the gradients of pressure data, record the overpressures of aquifers and produce velocity-density and neutron-density crossplots.

As the licensee of the first Durham University TEDx event, I led a group of over twenty university students. My role included coming up with our event theme of Patterns and Symmetry, inviting ten prestigious speakers, booking the venue and coordinating sponsorship, tech and stage design teams. I am very happy to have taken this position of leadership and have written a blog of my experience for our website.

As an active member of the St. Aidan's College community, I established a committee in response to a lack of environmental awareness and structure. My focus was divided between energy, water, waste, biodiversity, Fairtrade and travel. Coordination with college social, charity and media committees in running events and support from Durham University Greenspace with funding helped me to pursue an end goal of behavioural change among students in favour of the environment.

As part of a seismic project, I produced a spreadsheet to generate a 3D volume for seismic data located in any global position based upon the given corner co-ordinates with synthetic velocity values. I developed a workflow for loading seismic data into RokDoc. I worked up seismic data in RokDoc to produce images for a training manual in seismic pore pressure prediction.

My personal contribution involved both coordinating the development of an original eco-product utilising the creative capabilities of my design team and negotiating the retail agreement to sell the product. As a company we achieved our end goal securing a profit.
