20+ years’ experience in the areas of public policy, governance, and PFM with focus on strategy development and implementation, planning, budgeting, institutional assessments and strengthening, and training and capacity building. Worked as technical lead and as technical expert on various reform programmes relating to PFM, public policy, governance, local governance, local finance and planning, health financing etc.  Climate and disaster risk management studies and assessments to strengthen government planning and budgeting functions for improved climate change adaptation, mitigation, and resilience.  As Institutional Development Expert, undertook strategic assessment of the Local Government Department for identification of reform areas and contributed to framing new local governance regulations for strengthening local governance regime under LG Amendment Act 2019 Contributed to enhancing revenues from the Urban Immovable Properties Tax as Associate Policy and Tax Advisor Contributed to the development of framework for fiscal and financial management of the new local government system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after enactment of Local Government Amendment Act 2019 including framing of Planning Development Budget and Accounts Rules 2020 for Tehsil Local Governments Contributed as Expert in the formulation of various provincial and sectoral strategies and policies including Sustainable Development Strategy, Integrated Development Strategy, Health Policy, Fixed Asset Management Policy and Guidelines, Facility Level Budget and Expenditure Management Policy and Guidelines, PFM Reforms Strategy, Costed Strategic Plan for Health Policy, PFM Reforms Implementation Strategy for Health, implementing initiatives for fiscal transparency including Citizen’s Budget and other measures, Public Expenditure Tracking Surveys, Budget Transparency Reviews, District Government Development Plans,  Contributed to implementation of budgetary reforms at Federal as well as Provincial level including modernization of budget preparation regime, improving transparency and accountability, strengthening legislative regime, and strengthening institutional and human resource capacities for improved social services delivery Carried out institutional diagnostic studies of the local governments in KP under LGA 2013 Skilled in the development of manuals and training materials including budget and accounts manuals, training modules etc.  I possess an MBA degree and I am an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan.
