With over 35 years of comprehensive experience in journalism, I have contributed to various leading publications across Pakistan in roles such as Sub-Editor, News Editor, Chief News Editor, Magazine Editor, and Editor of Reporting. My journey began in 1988, and since then, I’ve played pivotal roles in respected dailies like Daily Markaz, Daily Jihad, Daily Khabrain, Daily Sahafat, Naya Akhbar, Daily Kainat, Daily Dunya, Daily Jinnah, as well as weekly publications like Musalman, Siachin, Madawa, and Siasat. I was also the founding News Editor of Islamabad’s first evening newspaper, Mera Pakistan, Daily Sahafat and Naya Akhbar. Did double jobs , working in the day time editor for Magazines and night time as News Editor for Newspapers. Currently, I am part of the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) in Islamabad, where I have been engaged for over five years, working within the Advocacy Unit. My role here builds on advocacy and communication—a craft I honed during my years in journalism. I am an co-author of an autobiography of Late Ahmed Salim, a known Punjabi poet and literary personality. My background also includes substantial experience with Radio Pakistan, where I served as a News Translator, Anchorperson, News Analyst, and Broadcaster.I have translated two books from English to Urdu and many policy briefs, working papers and research articles from English to Urdu. Alongside journalism, I specialize in scriptwriting, poetry, translations, podcasts, and audio/video documentaries, bringing a well-rounded approach to communications and media.
