In my academic and industrial career so far I have worked with spectrum policy related activities for FCC proceedings in the 3.5 GHz for unlicensed LTE systems. For my research work I specialized in resource allocation for LTE/LTE-unlicensed for spectrum sharing systems using constrained beamformers. I have actively contributed to proof of concept systems at the MAC and PHY layers that impact spectrum regulations for use of communication systems in different spectrum bands. I developed a device-to-device communication system that can share video streams among different public safety users using off-the-shelf USRP N210 devices at Motorola solutions in the summer of 2013. I actively follow the standardization activities for 5G communication systems at forums like IMT 2020, ITU world radio communication conference (WRC), 3GPP and FCC.
