I recently completed my coursework at UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work, with a focus on problematic substance use and addictions. My practice is grounded in an understanding that our experiences are shaped by relationships, environments, and broader systems. In my therapy approach, I use mindfulness practices and motivational interviewing, and I am learning how to apply Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy methods in my work, as well.I’m passionate about holding space for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one, who want to find ways to live fully by their own values, and who want to explore how their emotions, thoughts, physical selves and behaviors are interrelated. I’m here to meet you where you are and support you moving forward, as you are ready. My practice reflects queer and feminist theory, is LGBTQIA affirming, and is committed to anti-racist and anti-ableist values.When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me cooking, hiking, catching up on a good book, or practicing French.

Provided support in navigating systems and Center programming to olderadults in Orange County via Aging Transitions Helpline. Managed training events provided to Aging Transitions team, including registration, communication and outreach efforts. Provided programming support to the LGBTQ Senior Resource Team. Administered surveys via Qualtrics to participants in Durable Medical Equipment loan program to evaluate effectiveness and ease of services. Assisted client systems and their families to identify eligibility for programs. Used direct practice social work skills to help community members and their families navigate personal and interpersonal challenges. Identified gaps in services and recommended solutions within the agency. Contributed to Caregiver Support e-Newsletter with skills sharing articles. Participated in the Orange County Master Aging Plan steering committee to workshop initiatives that will improve residents' lives. Facilitated support groups for family caregivers. As a Data Coordinator, I had primary responsibility for quality control and data tasks for multiple clinical research studies that our CTU conducted. My responsibilities included (1) Quality Control of participant research records, and (2) the completion of case report forms and the maintenance of electronic and paper-based research records and databases. When doing quality control, I identified any errors or deficiencies and worked with appropriate team members to correct or resolve them. When doing data entry, I was responsible for data submission and tracking to the central data facility, according to the unit and sponsor requirements and timelines. All activities were done in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations, as well as Good Clinical Practice (GCP). I worked as part of a team and supported the Investigators of Record, Research Coordinators and other research team members in their work. This position was also responsible for other duties, including review & resolution of database queries and maintaining research data tracking tools.

Assist nurse coordinators, laboratory, data and regulatory teams with study specific procedures, data collection, and processing of specimens. Build rapport with study participants to maintain high study retention rates. Recruit high and low risk populations for various HIV prevention trials, and eligible participants for various HIV treatment trials. Maintain electronic and paper-based research records. Complete case report forms. Perform outreach and education at various community events. Perform daily office administrative tasks.

Screened and enrolled clients into program, to receive Ryan White funding for health insurance and prescription assistance, within HRSA guidelines. Documented and managed personal and clinical data for clients living with HIV, with regard to HIPAA mandates. Cultivated positive relationships with community based organizations, health providers, and clients. Provided information to clients regarding LA HAP requirements, insurance and prescription benefits, and community resources.

Provide life skills counseling for residents experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance abuse. Facilitate conflict resolution and crisis interventions. Document new client applications, resident charts, medication usage, and periodic progress assessments. Manage social media. Trainings include: Crisis Prevention and Intervention; Drug Abuse and HIV; Reducing Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens; Protocol for Use of Personal Protective Equipment; Safe Haven Training; Substance Abuse and Intimate Partner Violence.

Mobilized supporters of Planned Parenthood Federation of America at a grassroots level. Managed and trained teams to distribute information on sexual and reproductive health issues in LA. Raised funds for PPFA through outreach strategy and managing field canvassing teams.

Spearheaded the renewal of the UNC chapter of VOX through personal and organizational efforts. Networked with student groups to organize a seminar on reproductive justice.

Created and facilitated interactive theater interventions to promote conversation around health and wellness issues, such as disordered eating, sexual assault and alcohol abuse.
