About Abigail Branco

Hello! My name is Abigail Branco and I am a graduate student at Appalachian State University - specifically, I am pursuing a Master's of Arts in Psychological Science and a Certificate in General Sociology. I absolutely adore being a student and working with the community at App! My research interests span a variety of areas - I currently have ongoing research examining misinformation and related phenomena (specifically, the continued influence effect), as well as the process behind stereotyping. My work with the HR Science team aims to curb underemployment of psychology graduates, while my collaboration with the Sociology faculty investigates the generalizability of Katherine Newman's constellation theory.I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2023 with my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and specific specializations in sociology, philosophy, and business.
