Last summer, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an Audit Internship at FORVIS, a top 10 Accounting firm. Throughout my internship, I was assigned to work on several audit client engagements, immersing myself in the intricate world of financial examinations. On-site visits to clients became a routine as I diligently asked questions, gathered crucial information, and executed detailed inventory observations. These experiences not only honed my auditing skills but also provided me with a firsthand understanding of the complexities involved in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.In addition to my audit responsibilities, I was entrusted with a significant role in a bank consulting project. Here, I actively contributed to the creation of a robust Excel model, ensuring that our client adhered to various bank regulations. This unique project allowed me to apply my analytical skills in a different context, as I was able to use the extensive Excel knowledge that I have gathered at the Kelley School of Business thus far. Beyond the technical aspects, my internship at FORVIS was a holistic learning experience, offering me valuable insights into the dynamic field of public accounting. I successfully fostered strong networking relationships and gained firsthand exposure to the intricacies of auditing public companies, enhancing both my professional skills and industry knowledge.

During the summer after my freshman year at IU, I was given the opportunity to work as a Wealth Management Intern at Old National Bank. I worked at the bank’s headquarters in Evansville, IN. I spent the summer partaking in numerous projects, presentations, client meetings, seminars, etc. -I learned about a variety of aspects within the finance world, including how financial plans are created and communicated with clients and how wealth management teams use different softwares to store client data. -I polished my financial literacy skills and became acclimated and comfortable in a professional environment. -I was also able to strengthen my networking skills, as I made many connections and fostered relationships with fellow interns/professional coworkers within Old National Bank. I look forward to using these new skills and all that I have learned from this internship in my future professional endeavors!
