My name is Abigail Driggers, I am currently a senior attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management. Once I gain more experience in the Human Resources field, I plan to go for my Master’s Degree in Employment Labor Relations and then become SHRM Certified. I am ccompleting an entry level recruitment internship with a nonprofit organization. Throughout my current internship I have gained the knowledge and experience that has prepared me for an entry level HR position. In addition to having over six years of experience within the Hospitality Management Industry and successfully studying Human Resource related courses, I have acquired knowledge and skills that has prepared me for an entry level position within the Human Resources Industry. With my official graduation date being May 2019, I am seeking a professional opportunity that will provide me with opportunities to learn and grow within the Human Resources Industry. From my past work experience I have gained a set of skills such as organizing and conducting interviews with candidates in person and over the phone. Additionally, I upload documents and job descriptions to ADP, as well as perform state background checks confirming candidate’s Docs. Throughout my work experience I have learned the importance of emotional intelligence and became proficient with system software such as ADP, JONAS, and JONA. My management experience with customer relation has provided me with a keen understanding of ethics and the importance of confidentiality. Furthermore, my personal commitment to self-improvement with a constant desire to learn and challenge myself are just a few of my personal traits that will allow me to excel within the HR field.
