Through my collegiate career and my work at Indiana 811, I have gained excellent written and oral communication skills. Working in a fast pace environment, where I produce over 70 tickets a day, I learned how to understand and write almost verbatim what the caller states and the instructions they request for the locators, who mark the lines before anyone can dig. I have learned to work well under pressure. In the summer the que for Indian 811 can be up to 100 people waiting for someone to talk to about their digging needs. I have been given the opportunity though Indiana 811, and my job at the library, to gain customer service skills, people skills, professionalism and decorum in an office setting. I want to be at an organization where I can grow in my professional career, and in return be an asset for the organization. My ability to type over 70 words per minute, and to type what people say, almost verbatim, will allow my self to be successful in meetings and interacting with clients. I also have perfected the ability to multitask efficiently, and to take on more responsibility; which I have proven in both my library Job, now that I am supervisor, and at Indiana 811, where I am learning and gaining the experience to move up in the company. But I have also learned how to work independently, and with my determination, can complete any task given to me.
