Profile bio

About Abigail Holder

I am currently working as an IRTA Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, studying mechanisms of synaptic and intracellular plasticity. At my alma mater, UCLA, I conducted research on the neurogenetics of vocal learning in zebra finch development, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Psychobiology and minors in Biomedical Research and Genetics. My research interests lie in the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying learning and neuronal plasticity, both in typical and atypical neurodevelopment. As a passionate scientist, I hope to pursue these interests into graduate school and further as a long-term career.
