To teach effectively in a special school setting as a casual relief teach requires a specialised skill set that is seldom acknowledge in the teaching profession. A significant amount of information concerning each student's medical, behavioural, educational, communicational needs, needs to be collecting, retained and acted upon. Thus ensuring the students' medical and educational needs are met and that student safety is maintained at all times.
