As a Strategic Data Analyst at KDE, I provide strategic planning support to the Office of the Commissioner, advanced statistical analysis and education research using statistical tools such as Stata, Excel, and SPSS to interpret results and identify trends. I develop presentations and reports to present study findings to audiences in key decision-making positions across the agency, and oversee the development and implementation of employee and stakeholder data collection tools to identify and improve internal and external organizational effectiveness. I proactively partner with senior leadership to facilitate the effective use of data and analysis, and I assist with implementing and overseeing the Commissioner's research agenda to support evidence-based decision making, support strategic planning and improve K-12 public education throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.October of 2018 to February of 2024, I served as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Enrollment Officer at the University of Kentucky, by performing complex, varied and confidential administrative and financial functions supporting our unit's strategic priorities. In this role, I have had a firsthand look at the role of data analytics and strategic planning support during the annual enrollment cycle.From 2012 through October of 2018, I was a paralegal at Cook & Watkins, PLC (formerly Duane Cook & Associates, PLC), a small corporate law firm with its main office in Georgetown, Kentucky. While our firm doubled in size and merged with a Louisville practice, I assisted with the operations of our offices in both Louisville and Georgetown. I managed the organization of our extensive client base, including multiple ongoing matters, all of which involved processing and analyzing large volumes of documents and client data, and carefully overseeing multiple ongoing deadlines for submission.
