As a Regional Director I worked to raise awareness about global poverty and The Borgen Project in my community. I created written and visual content to promote The Borgen Project on social media. I also lobbied Congressional leaders by contacting the offices of my representatives weekly.

As a political affairs intern, I successfully lobbied Senator Reed to cosponsor the End Tuberculosis Now Act of 2019 and raised $500 for The Borgen Project by developing and implementing a fundraising campaign. I also taught and mobilized 50+ people to contact their Congressional leaders. Additionally, I created written and visual content to promote The Borgen Project on social media. Furthermore, I organized over 10 community and political meetings to publicize The Borgen Project, its legislative priorities, and developments related to global poverty.

In this role, I strengthened clients’ writing skills through collaborative face-to-face or online revision tutorials that developed students’ work and heightened their confidence in their abilities. I provided constructive commentary to achieve specific goals negotiated for the session, which generated positive feedback, such as clients rating my help and suggestions as excellent and saying they planned to use the center in the future and would request me specifically again. Additionally, I built rapport with my clients by being personable, creating a welcoming, productive atmosphere, and participating in social media outreach, which encouraged clients to visit and return to the center.

I provided excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment working as part of a team of associates. In addition to handling transactions, I also responded to customers’ inquiries in-person and over the phone. Furthermore, I performed tasks throughout the store such as stocking shelves, pricing items, and maintained the general appearance of the store, contributions which were positively recognized by managers and customers.
