About Abigail Knoble, Mph

I am a passionate and driven public health professional with a Master of Public Health degree from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, where I focused on human-centered design, qualitative research methods, community-based participatory research, and public health intervention development, implementation, and evaluation.As a Research Consultant at Mass General Brigham, I am collaborating with the Nick Simons Institute to analyze national hospital data and synthesize findings for the Nepali Ministry of Health, with the aim of identifying and addressing key weaknesses in the national healthcare system. I am also developing a feasibility study with Dwelling Places to evaluate Educowtion, a health venture that I co-founded in Uganda to respond to climate change-induced livelihood shifts.Previously, I co-founded Educowtion through Acara and the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota, and successfully competed for funding and implemented the pilot project in the summer of 2018. I also researched environmental epidemiology at UNC, using molecular methods to evaluate WASH interventions in Mozambique and to monitor the spread of Covid-19 in wastewater. Additionally, I pursued education equity in the United States as part of the 2019 TFA corp and taught at Higher Ground Academy for two years.I desire to work in global health project development, implementation, and evaluation in underserved communities globally, leveraging my skills in qualitative research, environmental epidemiology, and health systems strengthening. I am a global citizen who values collaboration, innovation, and social justice.
